Preparing for your door delivery
A good delivery brief prevents surprises between the vehicle, unloading point and storage area.
Describe the approach
Give the full address and postcode, then list narrow lanes, weight limits, restricted hours or gates. Share access photographs if requested.
Agree unloading responsibilities
Ask what equipment and people are included with the delivery service. Do not assume that the driver can carry frames or glass through the property.
Plan a secure storage area
Ask for the supplier’s storage instructions before the doors arrive. Arrange a suitable protected area and keep circulation routes clear.
Inspect the consignment
Check the order references, quantities and visible condition using the supplier’s delivery procedure. Record any concern promptly and keep the packaging information.
Send your opening details
Tell us the delivery postcode, approximate width and height, preferred colour and panel layout. Your installer must check and approve the final manufacturing dimensions.
