Supply-only buying guide
Measuring for a supply-only quotation
A useful enquiry starts with approximate dimensions; a safe manufacturing instruction needs your installer’s final measurements.
Label the measurements
State whether each dimension describes a structural opening or a proposed outer frame. Include units and sketches. Avoid mixing a brick opening width with a frame height.
Ask your installer to check
Measure at several points and check the opening is square. The installer should determine the required fitting allowance from the selected system instructions; do not subtract a generic amount yourself.
Resolve the floor detail
Record the internal finished floor, external surface and drainage arrangement. The threshold and cill decision can change the required frame height.
Approve before manufacturing
Check the final drawing against the written quotation, including opening direction and viewing orientation. Keep the approved revision with your order.
Send your opening details
Tell us the delivery postcode, approximate width and height, preferred colour and panel layout. Your installer must check and approve the final manufacturing dimensions.
